ABOUT ME

Hey! I'm Jenny, founder of Grounded & Grit Coaching.
I grew up in Rexburg, Idaho as the youngest of eleven, so teamwork—and loud dinners—are my norm. Sports have been a huge part of my life since I was little. When I’m not on a field you’ll find me camping, boating, or snowboarding. I’m also a music kid at heart—I started an a cappella group in high school, spent five years in choir, and now I unwind by singing with my guitar. I currently am studying Psychology at BYU. All of that to say: I know what it’s like to juggle a variety of hobbies and commitments, and I use that experience to help you perform, stay balanced, and enjoy your life.

Ballin to Bruises 

Basketball was my first love—from third grade through senior year—and I also spent seasons in volleyball, softball, and tennis. Saying yes to new things is how I landed at BYU Rugby. I had never watched a match until a friend pulled me to tryouts. D1 conditioning was a shock, but strength and grit got me onto the roster. Unfortunately, playing time wasn't handed out evenly like my dad did in 3rd grade, but this pushed me to work. Four months in I finally saw the field, and by summer I earned a spot on the regional team for the All-Star tournament in Boston, MA. Seeing how mindset and consistent work change performance is what led me to coaching: to give athletes simple tools, steady support, and confidence so they can compete well and live well.
